Nothing hidden

What’s actually in it — and who says so?

Every active, its concentration, what it does, and the study behind it where one exists. No proprietary blend. No unnamed “complex”. If we cannot cite it, we do not claim it — because a mother reading a label at 10pm deserves the actual numbers, not adjectives.

The whole formula

Seven actives. Amounts printed.

No proprietary blend. No unnamed complex. Where the amount is the thing that matters, we print it.

Just as deliberate

What’s not in it, and why.

When a serum has let you down once, what a formula leaves out matters as much as what goes in. These two were decided before anything else.

Retinol

It works, and plenty of people cannot get on with it. We chose Bakuchiol instead, and built the rest of the formula around that decision.

Added fragrance

It makes a product smell nice and does nothing at all for your skin. So there was no version of it that earned a place in the bottle.

The research behind the Bakuchiol

Twice a day matched retinol nightly.

What the trial comparing the two actually found. Not what we would like it to have found.

Every active in full

Seven decisions made for you.

Bakuchiol

Plant-based retinol alternative

A plant-based alternative to retinol. In a twelve-week double-blind trial it matched retinol for reducing the look of wrinkles and pigmentation, with far fewer reports of irritation.

In a 12-week, randomised, double-blind trial (n=44), 0.5% Bakuchiol used twice daily matched 0.5% retinol nightly for reducing wrinkles and pigmentation, with significantly fewer reports of irritation, peeling, or scaling. — British Journal of Dermatology, 2019

Plant-Based Alternative

Niacinamide

Vitamin B3

Reduces dark spots, controls oil, refines pores, and evens skin tone.

Niacinamide and peptide combination showed 12% improvement in skin hydration and erythema reduction at 4 weeks in a randomised controlled trial. — Rusic et al., Life, 2024

Brightening + Pore Care

Hyaluronic Acid

Deep hydration molecule

Draws moisture into the skin and holds it there. Plumps, smooths, and strengthens the moisture barrier.

Deep Hydration

Vitamin C

Brightening antioxidant

Boosts radiance, fades pigmentation, and protects against environmental damage.

Glow + Protection

Ceramides

Skin barrier lipids

Supports the skin’s natural barrier, so it holds moisture and feels less reactive.

Barrier Support

Vitamin E

Antioxidant

Neutralises free radical damage. Supports skin repair and long-term resilience.

Skin Repair

Peptides

Amino acid chains

Signals the skin to produce more collagen. Firms, smooths, and reduces visible fine lines over time.

Anti-Ageing

No, really

You now know more about this bottle than most people know about anything on their shelf. The only question left is when you start.
